When you read the book of Acts, you see the birth and spread of the early church. There are inspiring stories that tell of God adding daily to their number those being saved (Acts 2:46-47). God’s heart for people to be reconciled to himself through Christ’s death has not changed. The staff and students involved with Campus Crusade have been praying to see the daily occurrence of people coming to Christ be a reality. I (Heather) remember a time as a student on campus when we prayed for 20 people to receive Christ by the end of the first semester—this was double the amount we had seen during the whole previous year. In those first six weeks we ended up seeing over 20 people place their faith in Jesus! Student2Student NewsIn our last letter we introduced you to Student2Student, a web tool our team helped produce to encourage and equip students to share their faith. God is using this tool, as students can share stories of leading others to Christ. We are seeing the pattern of God adding to their numbers daily as the total is now at 127. Here’s a story from Taylor, a student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, who guided two women across the threshold of decision using the Would You Like to Know God Personally? booklet: “I could see the hearts of these girls start to change, the one girl was so heartbroken when she realized that without Jesus, she couldn’t have an intimate relationship with our Lord! They were so unaware of the truth, but wanted it so bad. After we went through the booklet and talked about it some more, THEY BOTH PRAYED TO RECEIVE CHRIST RIGHT THERE!! Wow... ask and you will receive!! God is SO AMAZING!!!!” We are thrilled that God allows us to use the internet to build an online community that encourages and equips students all over the country. Read more stories at: Mikayla UpdateMikayla just passed her four-month birthday. She squeals, laughs, smiles, coos, lifts her head high and has us captivated! Heather was reflecting the other day about the lengths we will go to give her what she needs. Mikayla is still not nursing well, but Heather continues to pump so she can have breast milk. It’s more work, and it means Heather has not slept longer than 4 hours since Mikayla’s been born, but that’s a sacrifice we are willing to make. It reminds us of the lengths God will go to give us His best. We are willing to settle for much less, but even though we may resist him, he persistently draws us back and provides us with what we need. Praying that you also trust in God’s provision for you,
