Our wonderful daughter continues to grow and develop her abilities! She smiles regularly, and laughs, too. We enjoyed having my (David's) parents visit in early January after having Heather’s folks here right after the birth.
We had a follow-up appointment with that speech pathologist to see if we should change the oral exercises to help Mikayla nurse better, and found that we should continue with three of the four exercises. We’re still adjusting to all the different responsibilities, and to less sleep, of course, although she’s pretty good at sleeping for five to six hours overnight. I love being productive; I enjoy checking tasks off a list and bringing order out of chaos. However, I’m sensing that God is showing me that I base my value on how productive I am. This is a season where I look back at the day and often the only thing that really got done was taking care of Mikayla. What I need to remember is that this is my most significant job, and God and others still delight in me even though I am doing far less.

term? This is the vision of Student2Student.” ...These words can be found on the website of a new prayer and evangelism strategy of the Campus Ministry. It’s a place that has multiple resources so students can be inspired, get training, find tools, see a plan, or share a story of how someone has been led to Christ. A running total of how many students have come to Christ since January 1 is kept on the page (it’s at 41 as I write this), and students can receive email updates on how that number increases, as well as reminders of what’s available at the site. We were blessed by the cards, gifts, and financial gifts we have received since Mikayla’s birth. We will have a dedicated time this summer (or earlier) to work on raising up the additional support we need. We trust that God will lead us to those he wants to have partner with us, and watch for his faithfulness to be demonstrated. Thanks for the part you have in our ministry!
