A year of change
On June 29 Heather and I will celebrate our first wedding anniversary.
It’s hard to believe that a year has already passed, and what a
year of changes for both of us. Most obviously we got married, a huge
adjustment! We moved into our first apartment, and then a few months ago,
into our first house. Our team changed, Heather’s team dissolved
and she joined us at the Innovation Center for Technology. We started
going to Discovery Church (a community church) and got involved in a small
group with others in our stage of life. And most of this past year we
have been working at getting our support back up to a healthy level!
Though many of these changes were good, they were not all easy and provided
many opportunities to trust God and His goodness towards us. Please pray
that God would help us to continue to adjust, and that we would be living
according to the truth that He works all things for the good of those
who love Him.
Our summer home
We arrived at Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Colorado, June
3 for our summer assignment. Heather and I will both be taking classes,
and Heather will also be doing some design work for the conference and
classes that are offered. Please pray that God would use this summer to
further equip us and refresh us for what’s next.
Leveraging technology
Before we left for the summer our team gathered together to refocus on
where we are and where we hope to be. Our team’s, desire is to use
technology to share the gospel with the 60 million college students of
the world and the 1.4 billion people under the age of 25.
The Internet has such potential it can go into
closed countries, speak any language, it’s available 24/7, and is
a safe place to ask questions for this generation that uses it for everything
from email to taking classes. Campus Crusade for Christ already has many
wonderful sites in place with a variety of great resources that can answer
questions of those looking for God to those who want to grow in their
faith. One website www.everystudent.com, sees around 25,000 students visit,
and about 350 decisions for Christ, each month! The following are a few
questions that have been asked by those who are logging on to the site:
“I want to know God…to know Jesus. Will Jesus forgive my sins
even if I am a Muslim?” R R, India
“I can’t thank you enough for answering all of my questions.
This has spoken to something deep inside me. It has awakened my heart
with a desire to know God and commit my life to Him. Thank you! Praise
God….I am so grateful!” Jim, U.S.
We think this is only the beginning and are thrilled to be part of something
that has the potential to reach so many at their point of greatest need.
Thanks for your prayers & partnership.
