Mikayla celebrated her last day of preschool this week and went
through a graduation ceremony. It was fun to see the kids recite
numbers and sing songs. She has already been telling us how excited she is to go the kindergarten in the big kid school. We have started using the community pool more often. Mikayla can swim short distances without help, and loves to go underwater with her swim goggles.
Elijah loves using his innertube to get around the pool, kicks around nicely and loves playing catch in the pool.We are thankful for the break from school and will probably be doing a bit of traveling to Michigan and NewYork while we work on raising more support.
This week almost 2,000 students arrive at over 150 unique Summer Project opportunities Campus Crusade for Christ is offering , some lasting as long as 10 weeks! These projects include cities in Germany, Bosnia, Lebanon, Argentina, Sweden, New York City, Portugal, Russia, Greece and many others! Students spend the majority of their spring semester preparing for these trips by praying, seeking the Lord over their decision, and raising funds—all before they leave in May.
The adventures that these students are on could be the first tug at their heart by God and the beginning of a lifetime passion for missions. Regardless of how these summer projects affect the students that go and regardless of how they got there, we’re confident that God is working mightily through them. He’s there in those hardened places, bringing others into a relationship with Himself! Please pray for students who have committed to these summer project teams, that they would not be fearful, but would boldly proclaim the gospel in these most spiritually dark places.
