Video Trip
A few weeks ago I spent six days in Austin, Texas, with other creative people from Crusade and
outside the ministry helping with two short films. Media is a powerful tool in this generation. Crusade wants to utilize this to create compelling pieces that convey spiritual truths and open doors to conversations about the gospel. In the next two years the Global Short Film Network is hoping to complete 24 short films with a variety of spiritual messages. I was in Austin to shoot behind-the-scenes footage. For two days we actually worked from dusk until dawn doing night shots. It was a great opportunity to help and get further experience in filmmaking. “Wings” is a story of a boy who believes he can fly, and what transpires when he’s found on the roof. The other film, “Leland,” shows what happens when visitors arrange to do away with the imaginary friend an adult still relies on. Heather’s time alone with the kids went better than before, as the kids slept later and she was able to meet up with different friends to help bring sanity to the situation. Our neighbor gave us circus tickets that we shared with a friend—whose husband was also away at that time. Elijah of course fell asleep before intermission, but both enjoyed eating lots of popcorn.

Our House
We mentioned last month that our house was on the market. After 20 showings (a stressful
time when you have two toddlers more intent on chaos rather than order), we have a contract
pending on our house! We are due to close on May 30 or sooner. We’ve made an offer on a
house very close to Headquarters and several friends. We anticipate it taking a couple more
weeks to hear if they accept our offer, as it is a bank-owned home. If you’ve been through buying
or selling a house you know that there are so many details and things that can go wrong.
Please pray that things go smoothly, and that we are able to close on both houses on the same
day, so as to only have to move once (and avoid temporary housing and storage for our stuff).
We are so thankful for all the work our realtor did, and for God bringing a buyer to us in this
market.
