Touch is launched
Have you ever gotten a forward from a friend urging you to read it and
send it on to your friends? We just launched TOUCH, an evangelistic outreach
that uses email and people’s tendencies to share cool things they
get with their friends. People can click on a link that will take them
to an interactive gospel presentation. From there they can go to our website
to get questions answered, send the email to their friends, or even talk
to one of us. Go check it out www.whatistouch.org.
This project is at the heart of what the Innovation Center wants to do:
find creative ways to use technology to share the gospel. The campus ministry
wants to give every one of the 60 million college students around the
world a chance to hear the gospel message. Sharing one-on-one will not
accomplish the task, but we hope that we can provide tools that will help
make this vision a reality. (We know already that one of our websites,
www.everystudent.com, sees almost 250 students per month accept Christ.)
Please pray that God would use TOUCH, and please feel free to send it
to your friends.
40 days of Devotion
Last Sunday night we sat at our church and watched God place a huge ministry
opportunity right in our laps. It was a night where anyone attending the
church could come to get connected into a small group Bible study that
would take place over the next 40 days. Heather and I will lead a group
of 5 other married couples over the next 6 weeks. We were both struck
by the diversity in the group, as far as where they are in their walks
with God. People were honest, some were unsure about being there, others
had never prayed in a group, others are looking for a breakthrough in
their marriage. We feel a little overwhelmed, yet want to trust that God
will use us and this group to draw us all closer to God and our spouses.
Please pray for us, that we would show love and truth to each person involved.
New member of the family
Meet Bryce, our cat. (He has orange stripes
and is named after Bryce Canyon in Utah— his coloring reminds us
of it.) He’s about 10 months old and full of energy, at least when
he’s not napping. He’s teaching us patience, as his behavior
is not always what we expect. (We are definitely learning about ourselves
and what it looks like when someone or something is so dependent on you.)
Thanks for your partnership with us!
