Heather and I were first
introduced to the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ through our involvement
as college students. Heather studied graphic design at Western Michigan
University, and I studied music education at the University of Buffalo.
Through the ministries at our respective campuses we learned how to share
the gospel, lead a small-group Bible study, and how much God desires to
be a part of our everyday lives. Our faith in God grew, and so did our
desire for others to know Christ. Eight years and hundreds of miles apart
we came to the same conclusion: we wanted to spend the best hours of our
days introducing people to Christ.
I joined Campus Crusade in 1993; my first assignment was the University
of Maine. After investing four years there discipling students and sharing
my faith, I came to Campus Crusade’s World Headquarters in Orlando,
Florida, for a one-year term. The work at headquarters was a great fit
for my organizational skills. I felt led to stay and use my gifts for
a wider influence and fill a vital role at headquarters. I am now a finance
leader and project manager for the Innovation Center for Technology (ICT).
After graduating in 1998, Heather went to Asia with Campus Crusade for
a one-year internship. It was a challenging but incredible year as she
saw God work through her weaknesses and draw students to Himself. Returning
to the U.S. in 2000, she joined Campus Crusade to work at our headquarters
as a graphic designer for Print Services. In January 2003, Heather joined
ICT as a graphic designer.
Heather and I married on June 29, 2002.
We celebrated the birth of our daughter Mikayla June on November 22, 2004 and our son Elijah Ferenc on August 8, 2006.
We both count it a privilege to
serve with Campus Crusade creating strategic resources to introduce people
to Jesus Christ. |
